The mouflon is a subspecies of wild sheep, thought to be an ancestor of all domestic sheep breeds. They have red to dark brown coats with dark stripes and light saddle patches. They have short hair and males have horns, as well as some females. Mouflon males horns are curved, almost all the way around. Mouflon can be found in teh Caucasus, Anatolia, and parts of Iraq, Iran and Armenia. they are hunted by the local population for food.
